Customer Support Service

(Näfels/Switzerland)

Key Tasks

  • Collaboration with internal departments and external stakeholders to receive relevant operational authorizations (e.g. SORA-process in accordance with Drone Regulation EU 2019/947).
  • Initiate and coordinate operational authorization and other regulatory topics with relevant NAAs.
  • Development and maintenance of manuals and processes to obtain and maintain operational authorizations.
  • Familiarization and assessment of latest regulation and information related to the operation of unmanned aerial vehicles. Information and training of internal stakeholders in this regard.
  • Act as Flight Safety Manager and establish and maintain a Safety Management System.
  • Establish and maintain a compliant occurrence reporting scheme (e.g., in accordance with regulation EU 376/2014).

  • Load and Fatigue Analysis: Conduct static, dynamic, vibration, and fatigue analyses to evaluate performance under operational and extreme load conditions. Assess the impact of cyclic loads on rotating machinery and composite materials.

Flight Operations

(Näfels/Switzerland)

Key Tasks

  • Part of the Operating crew, support day-to-day operation.
  • Gather test performance information during and post-flight.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and conduct all development flight testing requirements, with regards to specific flight profiles.
  • Record ground test and flight test performance data and display information in clear and concise reports.
  • Be fully conversant and knowledgeable with all Rotorcraft systems, limitations, and safety procedures outlined in the Flight Manual.
  • Be responsible and accountable for the safe and correct conduct of all Ground and Air related rotorcraft testing within the responsibility of the Flight Test Engineer position.
  • Provide assistance to the Remote Pilot during pre-flight, in-flight, handover, and pre-landing checklist activities.
  • Monitoring of critical rotorcraft systems.
  • Support the development team in defining test scenarios for the verification and validation flight test phase for products and prototypes.
  • Daily tasks include test plan and test card generation, real-time data monitoring during ground and flight tests, directing tests, data analysis and documentation, test readiness review preparation, and on-aircraft troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with system, avionics, propulsion, structural, software, and flight controls engineers to develop and support flight testing for VTOL platform.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve issues.

  • Experience: Proven experience in aviation maintenance, UAS operations, or a similar technical role. UAS flight technician experience is highly desirable.

  • Non-scheduled aircraft repair work such as sub-systems removal, installation, replacements, and subsequent testing at Swiss headquarters as well as globally.
  • Ensure all pre and post-flight maintenance is accomplished, recorded, and signed.
  • Ensure all Ground Support Equipment (GSE) is serviceable and maintained in good order to support daily flight operations.
  • Prepare transportation of aircraft, payloads, and other equipment, especially related to complying with Dangerous Goods requirements.
